Each day, before I begin my work in earnest, I sit down to contemplate, to communicate and to get clear.
I keep an “I am” list beside my mirror and say it aloud looking at myself. Lately, I’ve taken to writing it down as well, at least once a week. There is evidence that shows that our neural pathways ‘get the hang’ of new information more efficiently when we engage all of our senses. Speaking it aloud, write it and even say it silently in your mind.
In addition to my “I am” list, I also have begun with a daily intention prayer.
I call it prayer for fulfillment because I believe fulfillment is a deeper extension of happiness. And it’s more satisfying. We all want to be happy.
But being fulfilled is happiness plus purpose.
Here are some examples and while you can certainly personalize them for yourself, this can give you a starting point from which to begin. Speak it aloud, write it and say it silently in your mind.
Dear God, (Or Universe, or Higher Power, or that which feels comfortable to you)
Direct my action todays towards true inspiration and love. Success naturally follows. In this, I give thanks. Amen.
Thank you for this beautiful life. Thank you for all who love me. Help me today to use my voice for good. Help me to go forth in love. In this, I give thanks. Amen.
Direct my energy today so that only good will come. Let my presence be harmonious with others. Let my heart be full of gratitude. In this, I give thanks. Amen.
Thank you for showing me my purpose. Thank you for letting me live this purpose daily. Thank you for my fulfillment, which offers me happiness at a deeper level. And thank you for the peace within. Amen.
