To discover the truth about living you must first know what life really is, what existence is, beyond staying alive, beyond playing the game of survival, beyond a conceptual world.
Life as not just your conditioning, your history, your story, the script you chose to play, the things that has happened for you ( notice the “for” and not the “to”), the things you hope and wish to happen.
The narrative you want to play and which you are trying to get ahead of in order to be happy and fulfilled, but you see, living in a place where you put your happiness in relation to the past or the future which are both in your mind in the form of thoughts and images doesn´t bring you that which you seek.
The truth about living lays in being.
Consciously being in every experience of every second of your own very existence.
Being meaning as a way to remind yourself what you are beyond personhood and to create yourself and your life in alignment to that understanding.
What do I mean with that understanding?
You see, language implies duality, subject and object, one and other. What I mean with who you are beyond personhood, what you are beyond the symbol “who” and “what”. You are the very fabric of existence itself and I claim you can get to have that understanding and embody it, becoming one with it and living your life in accordance with that understanding, with that shift in perception, with that non symbolic experience.
Hint: Is ever-present, in every second of your experience. This shift in perception is very simple and obvious, it is literally everywhere yet so overlooked that makes it extremely difficult for us to become aware of. Also due to our default paradigm from which we function, conditioning and the use of language.
The why of existence is in BEING itself. Become conscious of the beingness of everything there is, embracing both within and without as distinctions. Drop all distinctions and all that will be left is absolutely nothing which is everything.
Relaxation through meditation is key along with mindfulness ( to raise one´s consciousness beyond your own beliefs, assumptions, self deceptions and ideas of both yourself and reality) and to go beyond mind, beyond thoughts, which you must first be open yourself to the possibility that you can transcend mind itself.
Nothing is hidden!! Because reality is the shortest, most direct articulation of itself and you are reality.
Many have spoken about this truth over millenniums, yet it cannot be described, defined, spoken about using words, it can only be known through a direct consciousness ergo don’t believe any of this words, as they are just pointers.
In my experience there are different techniques that I have personally used to come to have glimpses of this understanding. Although there are many paths and techniques that one can take to “reach” to the same “destination”.
Mindfulness: Becoming aware of what is, beyond one´s interpretations, language, assumptions, beliefs, ideas, conditioning etc.
Self-enquiry: As a form of contemplation, questioning from a place of genuine not knowing.
Techniques called “strong determination sitting” and “Do nothing” learnt from Shinzen Young.
Suffering is a consequence of a misalignment of your life to Truth, to the highest Truth, the Absolute, that which embraces all distinctions, all paradoxes, all relative truths.
Suffering is a direct consequence of firmly believing that there is a you in the first place, believing that as you, then somehow are separated from the rest of reality.
The truth about living lays in understanding context and its implications. The context from which you come from determines the experience and its outcomes. What we put in, based on the place we come from (Love or Fear) is all that matters as it is in the process itself, in being, in showing up.
The process is all there is, an ever unfolding journey with no beginning, with no end. Beginning and end are just labels, concepts, same as life and death, existence and non-existence, me and other.
The process is all that remains, therefore what we put in – in relation to others and experiences is what we receive as it is a reflection of our own inner world.
The reality we experience is a direct response to our own inner world as there is not a “reality” and a “you”. There is only ONE.
The context defines the experience, it gives it shape and form and so defines its outcomes including what you receive from it. The process is all there is.
Now is all there is, was and ever will be. Not a moment in time but eternity.
When you pass beyond a conceptual world, you experience reality as It is rather what it seems to be, rather than what you believe it to be.
The truth about living lays in Self-expression. It is not so much about remembering what you are on an existential level which is the most fundamental thing to remember. But within the relative world, to create yourself.
To literally create who you want to be and to live by that. To express and to channel it through your passions, language, your actions, your presence, the way you show up.
The driving force here is creation, not from a place of needs but from a place of pure potentiality, from a place of possibilities.
Every experience you get to create yourself and chose how you want to show up in relation to what is, whether that is another or an experience.
I am claiming one can go beyond conditioning, beyond story, history and consciously chose who you want to be in relation to what is, to show up into every experience in alignment with that conscious choice independent of everything but that choice itself, being the context all there is.
The truth about living lays in following your heart, your intuition It lays in learning how to tune into your intuition and following it, to tap into your own creativity to create yourself and your life.
It comes from a place of all needs met, a place from which to come from , rather a place to get to. It lays in the non-attachment, a place of self-expression rather than a need to be fulfilled.
It comes from your passions and not from trying to get somewhere other than here and now. It lays in the process and who you become along the way rather than getting to a certain destination.
The truth about living lays in service .You see, life in its totality is not about you (in fact there is not a you to begin with, although I will clarify this in the future). There is no highest purpose than to offer a service to others. Create your purpose in relation to your passions and dedicate your life to it, a process of self-discovery and self-mastery. A process which never ends.
This is something to meditate on 😉
The truth about living lays in BEING, consciously being in every experience of your own very existence.
